Type A-2: Werber Sportswear

This jacket is a reproduction of a Werber Sportswear 42-1402-P contract A-2. This was their last A-2 contract of four, with
the earliest being in 1933, then 1936, 1939 and finally this contract in 1941. The Werber design is form-fitting and athletic,
with wide shoulders (and long epaulets). The body is trim, and usually quite short proportionately. The sleeves are very trim,
too.

Just as seen on Perry Sportswear's A-2, the Werber design has a large gap in the top stitching of the pocket flaps and collar, which
only goes through two layers of leather. Most jackets from this contract are made with dark russet horsehide, though
three examples used by Good Wear to create this pattern were of seal brown horsehide. We will soon have photos of both shades.

Details of this contract:
- usually dark russet horsehide
- tight and short torso and slender arms
- collar stand
- long and thin epaulets
- large-gap top stitching around flaps and collar
- pockets positioned far from the zipper
- pocket body with square re-enforcing stitching
- dull orange lining and dull brown thread color
- ball stud snaps
- mid-brown knits
- usually Crown zippers are seen
This jacket looks quite sharp and the form-fitting design is athletic.
