This jacket is a slender and long version of a Rough Wear 18091. The jacket is in brand new condition, and it was made with an original M-39 Talon with straight pull tab. The goatskin used, which is correct for this contract, is both comfortable and grainy. We have used stiffer goatskin in the past (and still have it), but this is goatskin from a new tannery, and we really like it.

The jacket was made as a slender version of a size 46, or a 44 Long. Note that the jacket fits John, but is somewhat slender in the lower torso. We shortened the sleeve to have a correct length of 26".

The rest of the details are all accurate for a RW 18091. That contract was made with dark brown cotton thread, and mid-brown wool knits. The lining color is also correct for the Rough Wear A-2s. This exact type of Talon zipper is the kind seen on Rough Wear's first two contracts, the 16159 and 18091.

We have taken apart an original Rough Wear 18091, so the essence of the design is superb, and in this case, more slender than originals would be seen. 		« Return
