This jacket is the web site example of an Arnoff Type B-6 jacket. Arnoff was a prolific contractor during WWII, and they made a variation of both Army Air Forces and Navy flight clothing. They had one B-6 contract, and it's easy to spot, as they applied the leather end tabs above the folded sheepskin at the bottom of the zipper. Aero and Poughkeepsie B-6 jackets have that leather tab underneath the folded sheepskin. Also, they centered the epaulets over the shoulder seam.

This jacket is both sharp looking and comfortable, and the sheepskin is very warm and dense. Being a later contract, the side adjustment is via a belt, rather than zipper. Our blackened faux-roller buckles are identical to those on the original we copied.

The Conmar zipper has original WWII slider and stopper, and the design of the zipper chain is identical to WWII Conmars. Note that the snaps are all vintage Rau snaps from WWII.

This jacket will ideally fit a slender person who is 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest circumference of 40-42.5", and weight of 175-205 pounds.
