This jacket is a sizing return. This is an exact copy of David D. Doniger's Type A-2 contract. Their design is unique, having very pointed collar tips, spread apart pockets, and inset sleeves. They were made with M-42 Talons, and typically had mid-brown thread and knits. Note the mustard colored lining, identical to Aero's wartime material.

The person wearing the jacket in the photos is just a little small for the sizing (a 40 would be better). But it gives a good idea of the jacket proportions when worn.

This jacket is made with russet goatskin, which is thinner than what we usually offer. It's got a crisp feel to it, but is light, which oddly enough, is accurate. Many of the goatskin jackets made during WWII are of a thinner and lighter feel than horsehide or cowhide. One can always find exceptions, but this is generally true.

The jacket is in new condition. It's made with a vintage WWII Talon zipper (used condition), and a reproduction Talon slider. For more information about the Doniger company, this is an excellent online history.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'10" to 6' with a chest of 40.5-42", and a weight of about 170-195 pounds.
