Foster label Size: 42 We have an original G-1 jacket available. This one is definitely of the MIL-J-7823A contract series, either made by Ralph Edwards or Irvin B. Foster. That series had blackened No.10 Conmars and green nylon linings. Later 7823B jackets had brown linings. This jacket is a size 42, and fits a tick larger than most size 42 G-1s from the era. The condition is superb, with all parts being original and in excellent condition. The label had been removed long before we received the jacket. Most people prefer some format of label, so we applied one of our L.W. Foster Amend. #3 labels to it, as those were made just 2-3 years before this jacket was made. The knits are great, the mouton is great, the goatskin is excellent, and has never had any patches or name tags applied to it. The lining is as-new, and the zipper runs as-new as well.
