This G-1 jacket is an amazing original from the mid-1950s. The jacket is in superb condition, and is a somewhat large size 44. The jacket is made with heavy and grainy goatskin, chrome tanned with a beautiful tannin smell. Werber Sportswear was a company that had a comfortable relationship with military contracts, this being their very last one. Jackets from this contract are rare, and it's a good looking item on top of that.

The jacket is close to mint - not mint, but close. The jacket shows few signs of use, though there are two darned nips, one to a cuff, and one to the waistband. The rest of the jacket is great. The leather has a little evidence of use, but not much.

The jacket has a Canadian-made Talon zipper, which have been on all the Werber G-1s that we've seen. They work great, and have teeth of a similar design to Crowns of the period. Note in the photo that Canada is on the back of the pull tab.

This jacket hasn't had any patches or name tags applied, which is common for Naval jackets.

This jacket will ideally fit a person who is 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest circumference of 42-44", and weight of 175-210 pounds.
