This is a superb example of a 1963 G-1 jacket. The condition is near-mint, and it's all original. The
jacket doesn't have any known history, and has never had any patches or name tags sewn on it. Irvin
B. Foster was a profic 1960s G-1 maker, and he was the brother of Lou (L.W.) Foster. Through a
family split, Irvin's division of the company began to make G-1s in the early 1960s.
The goatskin is quite comfortable, and the mouton is amazing (with a reddish tone). The knits are
excellent with no holes, and the lining also has no holes, and it clean. The zipper works great.
Note how the zipper is sewn short at the bottom—this is common for this contract. The B series
of G-1s are the last jackets to have blackened Conmars. The shoulders are very square, which looks
great.
This jacket will ideally fit a person who is 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest circumference of 42-44", and weight of
175-205 pounds.
