It was meant to be for a customer, but that customer preferred pockets made about an inch larger than originals. We had forgotten this point, so the pockets on this jacket are accurate to originals. He received a jacket with his desired pocket size, and we have this jacket available now. The leather is a very comfortable sheepskin, not stiff, but still with a heavy feel, and with wonderful goatskin. The Talon zipper is an M-41 original in brass, which the customer preferred, rather than a reproduction blackened Talon more common on this contract. The buckles are vintage. This jacket is patterned from an original Monarch M-444A that we disassembled. The design is comfortable and quite warm, and over time, will develop excellent grain.
