This jacket is a new Rough Wear 1401-P. It will be the main example for the web site, and it's available right now. The jacket is made with a strong and beautiful aniline-finish Italian horsehide, and all the other details are typical of Rough Wear originals. This jacket is very comfortable for someone of the right dimensions, and it looks great worn.

The Crown zipper has a vintage Crown slider, and the snaps in the pockets are also from WWII—vintage United-Carr Anzo snaps from our vast collection of them.

Our pattern is based off two originals that we've taken apart, and many other Rough Wear A-2s that we've handled. Rough Wear had five contracts during WWII, and they made some of the most iconic and easily identified A-2s.

This jacket will ideally fit a person who is 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest circumference of 41-43", and weight of 175-200 pounds.
