This jacket was just a little too small for the customer's preference, and a second jacket was made for a better fit. This jacket was only tried on, and is made with typical leather and parts from Rough Wear's final A-2 contract. The leather is a soft but dense and weighty horsehide by Horween, and it has a beautiful seal brown finish. The grain from this particular leather lot is obviously very strong, and over time, the higher points will fade to a lighter shade, but in a subtle manner. The lining is a typical pale rust shade of cotton, and the knits are mid-brown. The pocket snaps are vintage 1943-made United-Carr Anzo ball stud snaps, identical to what Rough Wear originals feature. We don't often have jackets of this size, so we hope that someone is made quite happy by having this opportunity. The smaller size still holds the essence of Rough Wear's 27752 pattern, with almost no deviation from the historic proportions. A cadet in 1942 would have received a Rough Wear of this exact shape in this size. The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'5" to 5'7", with a chest of 36.5" to 38", and a weight of about 125-140 pounds.
