Special List of Jackets

All six jackets have sold. Thank you so very much!
We have a friend and customer who has purchased many jackets from Good Wear. He has a personal medical situation with a relative which needed immediate remedy, and part of that was asking if we could list a portion of the jackets he's purchased. We usually never do this, but if the situation was made public, anyone would agree that this is the right thing to do, and we really do want to help as much as possible.

The jackets listed below are immediately available, and we can help with the sizing information listed, to ensure that the fit is what people would expect. We will most likely ask you for your height, weight, and chest measurement, along with several other questions, as we want the jackets to fit as best as possible.

The payment of a jacket will go directly to the seller (we won't receive anything), and we'll provide that information once a person decides to purchase a jacket. We will ship via USPS Priority Mail for shipments within America, and will use FedEx for shipments outside of America. For those who do purchase a jacket, the seller is extremely happy and thankful.

Type A-2 J.A. Dubow 27798 (44)
This Dubow is lightly worn, and is made with Shinki russet horsehide. It's a common size 44, and all the parts are accurate for the contract. Though Dubows of the 27798 contract are known to have dull purple knits, about half were brown, which earlier Dubows were made with. The jacket has a smart design, and we have spent quite a bit of time cloning the pattern of what Dubow intended to make. There's one small 3mm darning of one cuff right by the leather. The zipper is a vintage Kwik slider on a reproduction chain.

Type A-2 H.L.B. Corp from 1937 (44)
This jacket is a typical size 44, and it's made not only with Horween russet horsehide, but also has a vintage Kwik No.8 zipper in it, which original HLB A-2s were known to have. A zipper like that is extremely rare to find, but we were able to acquire one, and this customer wanted it applied to the jacket. The jacket is basically new, only tried on, and has a pattern based on an original in our collection, along with correct parts. The Horween horsehide will show edge wear and friction wear, more so than our Italian and Shinki horsehide. This is what most original A-2 jackets exhibit. The collar sits evenly, but John didn't notice it was slightly uneven when taking images.

Type A-2 S. H. Knopf No-Name 42-18246-P
This jachet is in lightly used condition, and is made with russet Italian horsehide. It fits a typical size 44, and all the parts are accurate to original Knopf jackets, except the knits. With them, we used a 'candy stripe' format of russet and light russet wool, often seen on very early 1930s leather jackets, but it made a fun detail on this A-2. The zipper is a reproduction M-42 Talon with a vintage Talon slider.

Type A-2 Cooper Sportswear 23381 (42)
This jacket is a typical size 44, made in russet Italian horsehide. It's a strict copy of what Cooper made in their WWII A-2s. They're rare originals, and we used one to get our pattern. They were made with olive thread, had beveled corners on the pocket bodies, a collar stand, and Conmars that have a straight pull tab. This jacket is in used condition, and has a vintage Conmar zipper slider and stopper, on a reproduction chain.

G-1 55J14 Aviators Clothing Co.
This jacket is made with American goatskin, and fits a typical size 44. The goatskin has good weight, and it's comfortable. The mouton is vintage, as is the Conmar slider, and it has all the correct details of an Aivators Clothing Co. contract. We own three originals, and took apart one in rough shape to get our pattern. They have a number of unique details compared with other 55J14 contractors, and are relatively hard to find. The zipper is a reproduction blackened brass Conmar with a vintage Conmar slider.
