California Sportwear Series: "Californian" Ventura

California Sportwear was a leather jacket producer from the 1930s to the 1980s. They made many different
styles of jackets and other garments, and examples can be found that are quite beautiful. We are making
a jacket that we call the Ventura. This jacket will be available in either seal or russet brown, in
horsehide or goatskin.

We also have several lining options. One can choose either burgundy or brown rayon, or a dull green and yellow cotton plaid.

The jacket has a very easy fit with broad shoulders and arms that are comfortable. The sides of the jacket can be tightened
with short belts, along with the sleeve ends. There are four pockets with two hand pockets in front, a chest pocket, and then
one internal pocket in the lining.

Details of this jacket:
- comfortable torso and sleeves
- half-belt back with pleated shoulders
- rayon or cotton lining choices
- nickel #5 riveted reproduction zipper
- adjuster straps for body and sleeve ends
- matching 100% cotton 16/4 thread
- heavy cotton pocket interiors
- optional wool cuffs inside sleeves (must be requested)
- Horsehide label and union production tag in pocket
This is a beautiful rendition of a 1940s civilian leather jacket, offered from Good Wear Leather in several choices of leather.
