News: New Horsehide

We are quite excited about the new front quarter horsehide that we've been able to order. We have a new source, and
this company makes amazing vegetable tanned and aniline dyed horsehide. They've been tanning horsehide
since 1951, and that's the only hide they work with.

We've ordered both seal brown and russet brown shades. The thickness will be between 3oz. to 3.25oz. (1.2mm to 1.3mm).
The leather is quite grainy, and we have ordered a finish that will show mild scratches and surface wear. The
density of the leather is excellent, too, and jackets made with this will have good weight. It's not soft, nor
is it overly stiff, and with wear, will become more comfortable.

This new horsehide will be available beginning in June. New orders for jackets with this hide will be $950.00, as
the hides are more expensive than our previous source. All pending orders will have the initial price honored, so
please don't worry about any change in price if you've been waiting for your order.

We've made several jackets with this new horsehide.
